Terms of Service
v2026-10-23
These Terms explain the conditions and responsibilities for using Mokjang’s community features. Read the Privacy Policy alongside them for information about data handling.
1. Service and accounts
Mokjang is a community tool for bulletins, notices, galleries, prayers, attendance, and notifications. Sign in with Google and complete any required account and group approvals. Account approval and group membership may be separate; approval, membership, role, and membership periods affect features and access to records.
These Terms describe use of the Service between you and the operator, Dongha Yoon. Reading the Privacy Policy or accepting these Terms does not substitute for separate consent where required for sensitive information or new sharing. Use an account you are authorized to use, provide accurate information, and protect your account and device. The Service is not for children under 13. You must also satisfy any other eligibility requirements, including parental consent where required by the law applicable to you.
2. User responsibilities
- Do not impersonate others or falsely claim membership, attendance, or administrative authority.
- Obtain the necessary rights and permissions before posting or resharing another person’s information, images, or copyrighted work. Avoid unnecessary health, family, or child-related information. Importing a Google Sheet makes information available through a new service and audience; possession of the source does not by itself authorize resharing. Music scores, photos and other material require the relevant copyright and image-use permissions.
- Do not engage in harassment, threats, discrimination, unlawful content, rights violations, malicious uploads, or attempts to bypass access restrictions.
- Do not give account passwords or prayer recovery passphrases to other people or include them in support or report forms.
3. Content rights and audience
Rights in content remain with its author or lawful rights holder. You authorize the storage, transmission, display, preview generation, and backup needed to provide the features and audience you choose. This permission is limited to operating the Service and does not transfer ownership of your content.
Group membership, operational roles, and membership periods affect who can view records. Ordinary posts and bulletin prayers are not end-to-end encrypted. Public file URLs, temporary download links, and recipients’ copies or screenshots have the limitations described in the Privacy Policy.
Content or accounts that infringe others’ rights or interfere with operation or security may be removed or restricted. You may contact the operator with questions or an objection. Urgent security or rights-protection measures may require action before notice is possible.
4. Encrypted prayers and recovery
This encryption applies to titles and contents newly written with the Prayer Requests screen’s encryption feature. Bulletin prayers and older plaintext records are handled differently. Sections 4 and 5 of the Privacy Policy explain recipients, metadata, device keys, and encrypted private-key backups.
New prayers default to sharing with their own group, the village leader (초원지기), all pastors in the same church and explicitly designated prayer readers at creation. “Group only” excludes external readers; “1:1 with shepherd (목자)” includes only the shepherd (목자) and relevant member. Scope and original recipients remain fixed. Administrators can set assignment dates for pastors, village leaders (초원지기) and church prayer readers to additionally share intercession requests from that date. Ordinary members’ group and intercession prayer access follows group membership periods managed by the shepherd (목자), without a separate prayer assignment date. One-to-one recipients do not expand. Encrypted history becomes readable only after an existing reader’s device connects the new account’s keys. Sending or editing may be blocked when required keys are unavailable.
The design trusts the app and public keys supplied by the Service and does not guarantee protection against compromise of every device or operational environment. Recipients’ copies cannot be recalled. If every usable key and your recovery passphrase are lost, the operator cannot recover earlier ciphertext.
5. Notifications and support
Notifications may be delayed or undelivered depending on browser permission, device and account settings, and external providers. Choose All, Mentions only or Off for comments in account settings. Turning off device push is different from deleting existing in-app notification records.
Reports and support requests send information to the operator. Do not attach unnecessary sensitive information about others or recovery passphrases; describe the affected item and circumstances only as needed. The app is not a medical, mental-health treatment or emergency-response service and does not guarantee the accuracy of records or response times. Any legal privilege for pastoral communications depends on the relationship and applicable law; use of the app or encryption alone does not establish it. For emergencies or immediate safety assistance, use the appropriate emergency services.
6. Withdrawal and record deletion
You may request withdrawal in settings; administrator processing is required. Submitting the request and completing account deletion are different events. Save any personal records you need while you still have access.
Community posts, media, and copies already delivered may remain after account deletion, and removing the author association does not anonymize all content. Identify specific posts or attachments when requesting their deletion. Section 8 of the Privacy Policy explains deletion scope and backup and provider retention limits.
7. Availability and responsibility
Features may change or be temporarily suspended for operational, security, or technical reasons. The Service does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, delivery of notifications, or permanent retention of records.
The Service is provided as available. These Terms do not require a waiver of consumer rights or exclude liability where applicable law does not permit it. Mandatory legal rights and responsibilities, including liability for intentional conduct or other non-excludable matters, remain unaffected.
8. Applicable law, languages, and changes
Applicable law and dispute jurisdiction are determined by the relevant legal rules. These Terms do not exclude mandatory protections or legally available courts or supervisory authorities. If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues to the extent permitted by law.
The Korean and English documents are maintained to describe the same conditions. Contact the operator if their meanings appear inconsistent. Changes to the conditions and their date will be shown in the document or app; any additional legally required notice or consent is handled separately.
